Resource Management Emphasis in the Management Major
and the Human Resource Management Minor prepare students
for careers in human resource-related areas including personnel
management. The program stresses the importance of integrating individual
goals with organizational objectives. Issues and activities covered
are the legal environment of employee relations; job analysis and
design; employee planning, recruiting and selection; employee training
and development; employee productivity improvement, compensation,
and other reward systems; union-management relations; and quality
of work life.
