A student may be admitted with a Pre-MBA status if he or she has
a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
with an overall grade point average of 2.7 (4.0 scale) or a 3.0
in the last 60 hours of upper-division hours. Students admitted
with Pre-MBA status are limited to enrolling in the Foundations
courses for the MBA program.
To be admitted into the regular and distance MBA programs, a student
must have at least a 2.7 overall undergraduate grade point average
(or a 3.0 on the last 60 hours) plus a minimum of 480 on the Graduate
Management Admission Test (GMAT). International students must have
a score of 550 or more on the paper based Test of English as a Foreign
Language (TOEFL).
GMAT scores may be waived on the following conditions:
- Student graduated from an AACSB
accredited school with at least a 3.25 GPA
- Student has been admitted to one of the MBA joint programs with
the law or medical school
- Student has a prior graduate degree which has similar admission
standards
An applicant who attains at least a 480 on the GMAT,
but whose GPA is below the required level may be admitted on a conditional
basis. Conditional admission will depend on undergraduate performance,
GMAT score, other relevant measures of scholastic performance, a
record of successful employment at increasing levels of responsibility,
and recommendations. Conditionally admitted students must receive
a grade of at least B in all courses taken during
the first 12 hours. After this point, the conditional status will
be removed.
Students should submit a UALR MBA application, official transcripts
from all schools attended, and the official GMAT score report from
Pearson VUE, the GMAT test provider. Send materials to UALR Graduate
School:
UALR Graduate School

and by December 1st for spring admission.

Graduate School Admissions.

before they will be eligible to graduate.
